The challenge: many exhibitors, one compact stand
How do you give every company its own stage, and still make your country stand out as one?
Advantage Austria wanted to present several Austrian companies together at Big 5 Construct Saudi in Riyadh, in one compact country pavilion. The stand had to:
- attract visitors from the busy exhibition aisle,
- give each participating company clear visibility,
- present Austria with one strong, recognizable identity,
- guide visitors intuitively through the stand,
- offer welcoming areas for business meetings.
Our solution: one bold structure with a stage for every exhibitor
We developed three design directions, so that the client could compare clear alternatives before deciding: a light architectural approach, a graphic linear concept and a bold red architectural structure.
The selected design is a diamond-inspired 3D structure that combines strong red surfaces with white LED lighting. Its architectural form draws attention from the aisle, while dedicated presentation areas give each Austrian company its own place to present its products and meet visitors.
The result: a compact pavilion that works for every exhibitor
The concept shows how strategic space planning and architectural branding turn a compact space into a pavilion that is visible from afar, easy to navigate and made for business conversations. The stand was ultimately not built because of geopolitical reasons, but the concept reflects how we design exhibition stands in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

About the project
For Big 5 Construct Saudi in Riyadh, 5 Star Plus Retail Design developed an exhibition stand design concept for the Advantage Austria country pavilion. The pavilion brings several Austrian companies together in one compact and cohesive space.
The challenge was to give each participating company clear visibility while keeping a strong overall identity, intuitive visitor circulation and welcoming meeting areas.
We explored three design directions before developing the final concept: a light architectural approach, a graphic linear concept and a bold red architectural structure.
