For a premium location in the departure hall of Beijing’s Capital Airport, 5 Star Plus Retail Design was assigned to create two separate restaurant designs for two F&B concepts. Crystal Jade is a Singapore-based brand with one Michelin star providing Cantonese food and roasted duck. Feature elements of the restaurant design are an open kitchen parallel to multiple levels of varied, partially open and semi-private seating. Majia Shumai is a Halal brand that focuses on Western Chinese cuisine including steamed dumplings and noodles. Both restaurant concepts had to include branded elements and reference the geographic origins of the brands.
