Cooke has been a significant participant in the filmmaking business for over 100 years. Their handcrafted lenses reflect tradition, expertise, and state-of-the-art technology. 5 Star Plus Retail Design was assigned to design their office in Beijing based on the brand’s visual identity and values. The goal for the space was to create a stylish, clean design that is in line with the modern and innovative principles of Cooke. The office space consists of a reception area, a meeting room, a photo shooting and rest area, and displays for the high-quality products. One important consideration was to achieve perfect lighting in the photo shooting area with the help of different types of curtains that provide various levels of light when testing their products. The rest area has enough space and comfort to increase the well-being of both employees and visitors. The design concept is grounded and tied together by several rich textures applied to the furniture and curtains. The reception area with distinctive colors and dramatic lighting was designed to create a strong branded impact. The repetitive diagonal lines and the gold and black color scheme were related to Cooke’s visual identity and graphic elements, truly representing the brand’s classic methods.
